Ok, Ok, Ok,....

So I got into West of Scotland Uni and Callie, accepting Callie, and keeping my options open by waiting to hear how I get on for HND social sciences.

Just need to figure out what I'm going to do abt Lyle's nursery, as he got into highlanders Gaelic unit, but they only d from 9:15 - 11:45, and I wont get home till 6 at the earliest. Soo looking into St Mary's for a wrap around service or Uni nursery.

Next lot is: going on holiday next week, Lyle, me, mum, dad, Gary n his mate, 1 week all Inc. Costa Brava.

Daddydickhead got engaged Dec/Jan,  I'm 99.9% certain that Mrs DDH is 3/4 months.

A few weeks ago we agreed that after Easter, he would take Lyle another day during the week, last Friday (9th April) he tells me he can't afford to take him an extra day (to pick him up, take for dinner, play and drop him back home!) This is same Guy who's wedding reception is in a £9000 hall!  (And Lyle's not invited!  He's only to be at the chapel!) And him n his Mrs are moving into a rent free house!!!!!!!!!!!!

Had Lyle's 3rd birthday party, was great!  Pirate theme, I dressed up, looked cute lol Lyle's was fantastic, pics up soon.

Anyways that was my update for now, oh NEARLY forgot....  I bought 2 beautiful silk outfits for these 3 weddings ive got this summer,  1 is a teal corset dress, verrrrrry sex and the city, got magenta wrap, bag, chain and shoes. The 2nd outfit is a green corset top, and brown skirt, that flicks out a little. ... pure loving them both...

Oh recently lost 3lb (from my big toe lol)

Night all.

40 Annual Questions

40 Questions To Answer Annually:  (lets see if i remember to do this agian next year)

1. What did you do in 2009 that you’d never done before?
Crochet - learned in the summer, took me a wee while, but I think I have the hang of it now...

2. Did you keep your New Years’ resolutions and will you make more for next year?
I didn't make any, my nana was cremated Hogmany 2008- I cried myself to sleep in the early hours of 2009, and possibly most of 2009!

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
not close as in immediatly family, but a few people I am freindly with had babies, Donna & Norrie had little Noah, Gillian And Alan had Little Ben, My cousin Christopher and his girlfriend Rachel had little Romy.

4. Did anyone close to you die?
Not this year, although my nana died 22nd December 2008, and 'lay in state' in the back room until 31st December 2008, and the raw pain has carried on throughout the whole year.
I went to an old school friend/boyfriend's mums funeral, totally didn't expect to be at one of 'those' funerals yet, Cathy was also my old work colleague, and the shock i experinced when i heard of her death was immense.
RIP Nana
RIP Cathy

5. What countries did you visit?
England. And yes, that is a country that is seperate to my country, Scotland.... i just realised how much of a pet hate of mine that is, when filling in online applications, and they ask for your country and the only option is UK or Britain... grrr! UK and/or Britain is NOT  a country! it is 4 countries/lots of Kingdomes bound together by invisable, yet sometimes forcefull, ties, of years gone by legislation.

6. What would you like to have in 2010 that you lacked in 2009?

7. What date from 2009 will remain etched upon your memory?
I dont have anything as such, i was too intensly etched in my depression, yet i remember good times like breastfeeding pics, Lyle's 2nd birthday, picnics, beaches, safari's, woodlands, swimming, farkly spoor, craft nights, club noir, random nights out, wedding x2... but not a specific date

**amended** May 09 Lyle decided himself to stop using nappies, with only less than a handfull of accidents, which only happen when he's not well. Also, summer time: Lyle continually swam on his own :)

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Taking the steps to go back to college in prep for uni.
Not being bullied by Paul.
Raising Lyle to be very intelligent, and independant at 2 years of age!

9. What was your biggest failure?
Not holding out for what I was entitled to with regards to work. got a settlement, but a very reduced one!

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Depression :(

11. What was the best thing you bought?
TV unit - it has side storage for all Lyle's DVD's!!!

12. Whose behaviour merited celebration?
Lyle's! he is juat as always, a total credit to me! He hasn't, as yet, had a 'toddler Tantrum' for which i am very thankfull, although, since Pauls antics, i have noticed a very distinct change in my son, one for which i am fearfull, as its his way of coping.
13. Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed?
Paul's. as always, he only thinks of himself and then his girlfriend, and then his family and friends and going out, nights out, holidays, work and THEN he remembers my son! it makes me soo mad! he eventually decided to put his hand in his pocket and (unneccissarily) spend money on a solicitor so he can see Lyle more, EVEN though, i had previously said all he needs to do is make arrangements with us and he can see him more, but he never did. so roughly 6 months later, xx amount of pounds spent and we get an agreement sorted and he STILL doesnt stick with it! but maybe 2010 is the year he starts to properly notice my son.
14. Where did most of your money go?
Bills, TESCO, Lyle, crafts, and a very little on me.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Club Noir! what a night!
16. What song/album will always remind you of 2009?
I suppose Lady GaGa will, as she was EVERYWHERE in 2009.
17. Compared to this time last year, are you:

happier or sadder? im a lot Happier
thinner or fatter?  im a lot fatter
richer or poorer? and im a lot poorer, thats what happens when you fight for your rights against a big company
18. What do you wish you’d done more of?

19. What do you wish you’d done less of?

20. How did you spend Christmas?
with my family :) It was interupted by paul and his parents, who are yet to call and arrange to see Lyle!

21. Who did you spend the most time on the phone with?
as usual my mum.

22. Did you fall in love in 2009?

23. How many one night stands in this last year?
None, although I had a good few offers!

24. What was your favourite TV programme(s)?

25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn’t hate this time last year?
No, I dont seem to hate anyone, I can go through periods of intense dislike, but i dont feel as though i ever hate someone, as that is a fine line to/from love, and i havent added anyone onto my 'love' list that hasnt been thier most my life, and they dont cross into the hate list until they do any harm to my child... which will never ever happen....
25b. What one special thing would you like to do in 2010?
I would like to take Lyle on holiday, just us 2. but even now, it doesnt look like it will become a reality, due to money issues, and safety issues.

26. What was the best book(s) you read?
i read a few books, but none that really stand out and make me want to re-read them. I can honestly say in my life time i have probably read over a few thousand books (can read a book in a day, and was reading mills and boons by age 8 and Jackie Collins by 13/14... no wonder my love life is soo detatched!), I did read 'Killing Rage - by Eamon Collins', it was a hard book to stick with, not because it is about a long time member of the IRA's 'intelligence' team, but because he wrote it years after he defaulted on the IRA, and years after he had helped commit the hits, so he was putting in new feelings to old situations, like saying ''even though i was scouting the area, i felt revultion at the way the new OC was talking, as if life doesnt matter''... im sorry, but that is not the way it goes, you 'signed up' willingly, eagerly set out to get yourself a good possition within the organisation, worked your way up the ranks, etc etc,... I dont think he should have been murdered for writting the book either, the world knows how the IRA used to work, and how it still does, no need to get killed for speaking your mind!
so anyway, that book has stuck in my head for now...

27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
My greatest musical discovery was finding my ipod from before i got pregnant, pity i cant link it to my laptop without losing all my old albums :(

28. What did you want and get?
i wanted to go to college and i got to college. not the original course i wanted but glad i got this one, its opened my eyes a lot!

29. What did you want and not get?
sewing machine :( mines is bust!

30. What were your favourite films of this year?
erm... i dont really watch films,, 1 i did see was Hunger, ties in with my little obsession on the 'troubles'

31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
Was 27, went to Club Noir with some friends, Paula, Heather and Lori... i fully recommend you check out and go if u can get tickets!

32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
if i wasnt worrying about money, if my mortgage was goingto get paid :(

33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2009?
OMFG! what is she wearing!!!!!

34. What kept you sane?
Lyle, as corney as that sounds, but he did.

35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
was a poor year for celebrity fancies, but i was back to a teenage crush on Pacey from Dawson Creek, although he's older, in Fringe and looking 'wet panties' H.O.T!

36. What political issue stirred you the most?
Money! how dare they get paid a fortune for very little work, get the bonus of claiming for a 2nd house and have the audacity to waste public money on pure absolute rubbish! no wonder our countries are falling apart, the schools are getting worse, nurses are lowest paid! hospitals are germ infested! etc etc    although, gotta love sien fein, they claim for a second house in london but dont take their seat lol

37. Who did you miss?
My nana, its been a long hard year!

38. Who was the best new person (people) you met?
Emma, she's my politics & crime and devience lecture, but she is just absolutely fantastic! i get the impression that she's had a hard few years but everything is now coming together for her.

39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2009.
If you dont * you dont get
*input your own here.

40. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year?

This used to be my playground [used to be]

This used to be my childhood dream

This used to be the place I ran to

Whenever I was in need

Of a friend

Why did it have to end

And why do they always say

Don't look back

Keep your head held high

Don't ask them why

Because life is short

And before you know

You're feeling old

And your heart is breaking

Don't hold on to the past

Well that's too much to ask

Live and learn

Well the years they flew

And we never knew

We were foolish then

We would never tire

And that little fire

Is still alive in me

It will never go away

Can't say goodbye to yesterday [can't say goodbye]

No regrets

But I wish that you

Were here with me

Well then there's hope yet

I can see your face

In our secret place

You're not just a memory

Say goodbye to yesterday [the dream]

Those are words I'll never say [I'll never say]

This used to be my playground [used to be]

This used to be our pride and joy

This used to be the place we ran to

That no one in the world could dare destroy

This used to be our playground [used to be]

This used to be our childhood dream

This used to be the place we ran to

I wish you were standing here with me

This used to be our playground [used to be]

This used to be our great escape

This used to be the place we ran to

This used to be our secret hiding place

This used to be our playground [used to be]

This used to be our childhood dream

This used to be the place we ran to

The best things in life are always free

Wishing you were here with me
